Reading: In France, 34% of persons aged 65 and over hospitalized for congestive heart failure were readmitted to hospital within 30 days after discharge, compared with 24% of patients in Germany and 20% in the Netherlands and England. This all-cause readmission rate, standardized by the age and sex structure of patients in each country, was 53% at 90 days in France compared with 35% in the Netherlands.
